Slak Magic – Nature Never Lies

Produced by Greg Hunter (Dubsahara), this experimental bass music is perhaps the finest digidub to be found in the Universe of dub and dubstep today. Fusing as it does, the diverse musical realms of folktronica and elements of the audio aesthetic of modular synthesis, it opens a space for neodelic sonic geometry for the post-dubstep sound surfers.  Beyond rules, this music leads the listener on a post-rock, post-techno journey into the psychedelic stoner sound of the underground in London in 2017.

The contemporary artist James Cauty (KLF / K Foundation / JAMM ) created the cover artwork which is an enunciation in the latin sense, from “enuntiationem” meaning declaration. A declaration of definition, opening to the cascades of global beauty that reveal themselves in the ashes of the post-apocalyptic political arena of hate that threatens to engulf nature, space and humanity itself. As the Phoenix majestically rises from the Ashes… so too does the art of our time, serenely independent of the ash and yet, entirely composed of it as in the eternity of creation.
Nature Never Lies… unless she’s Wrecked!

MUTANTRA

Future Dust redux by Oïd Mü

Future Dust redux by Oïd Mü - Sangita

The audio production and composition style of Greg Hunter (Spectralite / Waveshaper) is always light years ahead of the sonic spectrum of the day and this release proves no less engagist with a hyper-contemporary juxtoposition of neo-digital textures and cultural audio spaces.

If you’re looking for the joyous rapture of the obvious, then you had better turn off here. Dubsahara’s music revels in Daring to Be Different, a sonic surfers guide to a post-apocalytic paradise, a mashup of the intertextural future of the sonic diorama of world affairs in our time, challenging pulses of subtle distortion that seemingly reflect the endless aggression that tearing through the course of human history, flickers of melodic mystery that shimmer, broken like a mirror of consciousness by the endless turmoil of humanity and yet forming a holosonic paradigm of incredible music.

The Music of Dubsahara is like Birth, Life and Death itself, in an instant, containing both infinite complexity, challenging spaces and divinely ecstatic realms. True Union of the Sacred and the Profane.

Dubsahara

Dubsahara

Dubsahara is digital desert music from subsonic-saharan soundscapes. Crystalline technologies, maquam and dastgah are mashed and mixed in these audio adventures. With a whiff of exotic herbal incense and the dream of the next Oasis, the journeys are long and epic, but the vision upon arrival is one to behold a thousand sufi mystic saints.

Greg Hunter shares another perspective of his multi faceted musical personality. In deep subsaharan bass zones the instrumentalists on mighty herbs are playing like dervishes, the frenzied Lila of a Gnawan all-night ritual, the heady sensuality of an arabian breeze under the date trees. Dubsahara is an exotic evocative invocation, an invitation to sample the delights of the divine in Concordance.

Tune in to the Dubsahara channel with archived & live streams and casts.

In the time it takes to tie your Camel to a date tree, you can click play and let 12 exquisite pieces of musical extravagance whirl you away on a cloud of sound faster than a sandstorm in an Oasis.  The metamorphical meanderings contain such timeless classics as Amoroq, Zentopy and Angelix which are widely known across the golden sands of Time as most Mystics favourite sonological ornamention.
