Inverse Gravity Vehicle : Magnetizer

Inverse Gravity Vehicle is a musical project by Deborah L. Knights & Jwa Hinton with vocal samples from Prof. J.R.R. Searl featuring a host of guest musicians including Ed Wynne (Ozric Tentacles) and  Keith & Steffe (Here and Now).  In their extra terrestrial sonic studio in the heart of Glastonbury they channel and co-create some of Avalons’ finest Ambient Auras and Spectral Sonic Soliloquies.

Jwa (aka Joie Hinton) is well known for his keyboard playing in the legendary Ozric Tentacles, Eat Static & Nodens Inctus.  His musical evolutionary styles have often created a sonic synaptic bliss and his resonant frequencies shine through here.  Along with Deborah L. Knights’s cryptic-mystic Vocals and neo-classical compositions their symbiotic sound weaves a fascinating tale of adventure and mystery.  Often equally challenging and engaging, this music is uniquely placed in its aural auric field and fuses the sonic sensibilities of ambient, freaky electro and experiemental music.  The essence of each of the pieces and songs draw the listener into the world of possibilities raised by the controversial New Energy Technologist, John Searl and his Inverse Gravity Vehicle.

Advaita : Grounded in Space

We approach a new paradigm in Modern Indian music as the seeds of Advaita have taken root and bear fruit.  The journey has magical moments and with the inSight of world class producer, John Leckie, this record reflects the deep sound that these musicians can weave while fusing classic rock elements of guitar, bass and drums with the Indian instrumentation of sarangi and Hindustani classical style vocals.

Its not the concept that is new, but the level of skill in the execution of such notions.  The variety of tracks move through different of integration and for our taste the opening track, “Rasiya” displays something special of true originality and finesse.

Although the album as a whole reveals the difficulties in bringing together the disparate elements of rock / classical / fusion to create a convincing new whole sound, there is a solid musical journey throughout the album.  One or two tracks on the album seem to follow the old models of song creation but we feel Advaita will be better served shifting into the sonic hyper-dimensions of new sound that they have touched on already, particularly with the opening track “Rasiya”.

Temple of Stars (Omega.v1)

Spectralite unveil “Temple of Stars” (Omega.v1)

This ambient classic has been obscured from view only by the clouds of cosmic dust that prevail afore the arrival of the Photon Belt.  In such a space and time, a certain degree of chaos may reign.  With the blessings of the Universal Resonance we may hear the infinite magic from the Temple of Stars.

Download the Album

This is an Omega.v1 release.  This is raw music, direct from the producers intergalactic studio to you.  Unmastered and still in development, this is a real opportunity to join in with the evolutionary flux and flow of modern music.  If you like what you hear, donate and watch as we aim to develop it even further.

Taking electroacoustic music to a new level of sophistication, this ethereal delight is already something of a connoisseurs classic on the Global ambient electronica scene, having been toured around Europe in previous seasons.  This is the Omega.v1 version of the album which may yet see another incarnation as the hyperspational mapping capabilities of this production team could yet be upgraded once we enter the Photon Belt.  Each piece on this modern hyperspace-age recording tells an epic tale. There are no set-to-repeat digital diamoporhisms here, this is pure geometric isomorphism incontrovertibly elucidating on the nature of existence.

Oumou Sangare is a sonic mystic singing the songs of eternity.  As Mali’s most prominent female vocalist, her beautiful selection to releases to date are all mesmerising insights into the magical music of Mali and the rich cultural traditions of her ancestors. This is a rare oppotunity to enjoy her music at a free appearance at the new Rough Trade East store

DATE : Friday 24th April, 1.30pm
LOCATION : Rough Trade East In-store

NO WRISTBAND OR GUEST LIST NEEDED, JUST COME DOWN ON THE DAY

Oumou is an artist who is proud of her country and its diverse cultures, now recognised and appreciated throughout the world. “Mali is a country of oral tradition, which explains why music and society here are part of each other. The 32 different ethnic groups here each have their own well-developed culture. They don’t need each other to make good music, even though cross-fertilisation is always good. There should still be a lot more recognition for Malian music. I deeply respect each individual artist in Mali. Our potential is incredible. Mali and its music embody the symbol of a free and victorious Africa.”

Dubsahara

Dubsahara is digital desert music from subsonic-saharan soundscapes. Crystalline technologies, maquam and dastgah are mashed and mixed in these audio adventures. With a whiff of exotic herbal incense and the dream of the next Oasis, the journeys are long and epic, but the vision upon arrival is one to behold a thousand sufi mystic saints.

Greg Hunter shares another perspective of his multi faceted musical personality.  In deep subsaharan bass zones the instrumentalists on mighty herbs are playing like dervishes, the frenzied Lila of a Gnawan all-night ritual, the heady sensuality of an arabian breeze under the date trees.  Dubsahara is an exotic evocative invocation, an invitation to sample the delights of the divine in Concordance.
