Darren Sangita is a musical artist & producer.

Since 1994 he has sought to unite music and culture by working with International Classical, Indigenous Musicians and technological wizards of the aural arts. He has worked with musicians and poets from Iran, Morocco, India, Australia, Venezuela, Turkey and Syria.

As a DJ he has spanned the genres of Goa Trance and Ambient Dub and has a colourful career going back to 1995 including the infamous “Karahana” trance festival in 1997 right through to Glastonbury festival in 2007 with innumerable parties, gatherings and festival inbetween.  More recently he has been focusing on hosting events (with the Sangita Sounds space at the Synergy Project) and his music productions including Noodreem and  Ashirvad.  He was label manager of Dragonfly records and also assisted projects in Youth’s Butterfly Studios such as, Shpongle, Dub Trees, System7, The Orb and Celtic Cross.

His musical output covers a variety of styles but all with a common thread, a spiritually uplifting, effervescent electroacoustic bliss!

As a musical artist his work can be heard on Sangita Sounds, Interchill (Canada) , Liquid Sound Design (UK) One World Music  & Organic Records . I feature on compilations with such luminaries as Greg Hunter, Adham Shaikh, Jah Wobble, Suns of Arqa, Eat Static and Thievery Corporation .

He started Sangita Sounds which is an collective of like minded individuals who are dedicated to co-creating a peaceful future of human unity through the power of Music and the Arts since 2000.

He has made efforts to work with international musicians and particularly spend time recording and producing full length CD’s for their use as promotional or commercial CD’s.  Some work has been pure classical or folk and with other musicians they have worked together to create new spiritual fusion music.
